Local Procurement Specialist managing procurement activities at Landis+Gyr. Supporting strategic procurement projects and supplier management in EMEA region.
Responsibilities
Represent the procurement organization in assigned projects and support/execute all strategic procurement activities of each project, under the direct supervision of the Local Procurement managers.
Carry out price and value analysis.
Initiation and accompaniment of optimization processes as well as basics i.e. for "external / self-reference" - deliver decisions.
Assessment and clarification of logistical tasks (e.g. bottleneck situations).
Assessment of delivery flexibility and reliability as well as assessment of the innovative ability of suppliers.
Assessment of technical and organizational production possibilities based on the required quality.
Assessment of the ability to integrate into the supply chain and the information technology connection.
Assess the prospects of business relationships.
Assisting on the decision about accepting new suppliers in alignment with Global Procurement HQ and Local managers.
Establish and support suppliers.
Development and adaptation of procedures for supplier evaluation.
Clarify technical and logistical questions (e.g. quality of execution, raw materials, materials and services) taking into account business management aspects.
Obtaining and evaluating offers, also for special solutions.
Negotiate price adjustments.
Compare delivery terms, quantities and prices.
Clarify quality issues in cooperation with the other departments, prepare technical documents, such as requirement specifications, commercially and coordinate them with other departments.
Negotiating delivery conditions (quantities, prices, dates, logistics) with domestic and foreign suppliers in a foreign language according to target specifications.
Conclusion of individual contracts and framework agreements, also under foreign law, within a specified financial framework.
Collaboration in internal projects and close cooperation with strategic procurement at HQ Switzerland.
Assist on reaching the MPV (Savings KPI) values agreed in the budget / forecast.
Assisting on the supplier audits to be carried out and the annual supplier management.
Observation of market developments in order to find the strategically most optimal source of supply for current and future projects.
The task includes the analysis of procurement markets based on trade fair and supplier visits, tenders and technical documents.
Recognize trends in the markets and assess opportunities and risks.
Deriving / developing procurement strategies.
Observe the development of new providers, new technologies and the procurement strategies of competitors for the assigned procurement area.
Close cooperation with operational logistics to create forecast plans and supplier budget files.
Routine day-to-day business such as SAP approvals, creation of statistics and evaluations, preparation and evaluation of requests for quotations.
Price negotiations and contracts in consultation with Local Procurement Managers and Global Procurement HQ and the commercial department.
Co-Responsible for the procurement department plus the material fields of Electronic manufacturing and E-Components.
Co-Responsible for Indirect Materials.
Compliance with specified parameters such as MPV/PCO/ESG.
Requirements
Technical Business studies with a focus on SCM, logistics, procurement, economics.
Several years of professional experience in procurement preferred but not essential.
Experience in project work, also on educational level.
Advanced use of English language.
