Responsibilities
As a Print Designer for Homewares, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, interpreting, and implementing global print and pattern trends.
You will work collaboratively with our Living Home designers and merchandise teams to grow sales through visually appealing and customer-focused products.
Trend Identification: Stay ahead of global print and pattern trends to ensure our products are always on the cutting edge.
Collaborative Design: Work closely with Living Home designers and merchandise teams to create coordinated prints, graphics, and final art that reflect Kmart’s unique handwriting.
Commercial Focus: Develop prints that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also drive incremental sales.
Print Library Management: Catalogue and manage our print library and assets, ensuring easy access and organization.
Effective Communication: Articulate design concepts through both visual and verbal communication, ensuring clarity and alignment with brand goals.
Adaptability: Learn and adapt to various areas within Living Home, showcasing your versatility and willingness to grow.
Requirements
5 + years’ experience as a Print Designer in homewares
Creative Talent: A strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create elevated, commercial, on-trend, customer-focused prints and graphics for diverse age groups and aesthetics.
Trend Awareness: A keen eye for global trends and the ability to translate them into marketable products.
Collaborative Spirit: Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work harmoniously with fellow designers and merchandise teams.
Organizational Skills: Proficiency in cataloguing and managing print assets.
Communication Skills: Strong visual and verbal communication abilities to effectively convey design concepts.
