About the role
- Assistant Manager, Design at Smucker leading packaging design and project management for JMS brands. Collaborating across internal and external teams to ensure design objectives are met.
Responsibilities
- Lead large volume projects with strong project management skills and clear communication
- Collaborate with Design, Brand and Innovation teams to ensure final project outputs are meeting the design and business objectives
- Maintain project management tools for Design team, delivering regular tracking and reporting
- Work closely with Design and Production teams to ensure design intent is carried through to execution
- Project managing the design aspects of a variety of projects with external design agencies
- Assist in co-leading phases of strategic design projects, reviewing color correct proofs and digital renderings and fielding ad-hoc image and mockup requests for the team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of Project Management experience (Creative PM experience a plus)
- Experience in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) project and budget management
- PC and MAC proficient with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and act with a sense of urgency
- Self-starter with proven ability to multi-task
- Excellent presentation skills
- Willingness to travel if needed (<10%)
- Experience leading external agency partners
- Familiarity with print processes
