Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, we are seeking a professional with solid technical experience and an analytical profile to contribute to the optimization of our production processes.
The focus will be on increasing factory efficiency, reducing costs, implementing advanced manufacturing technologies, and participating in JBT Marel's internal process for locating new equipment in the region.
Participate in or lead continuous improvement and setup reduction projects using Lean Manufacturing tools.
Conduct time and method studies (time-motion studies) for line balancing and defining manufacturing capacity (work centers).
Take part in technical and economic feasibility studies for the acquisition of new equipment (CAPEX).
Ensure the quality and reliability of manufacturing processes through failure analyses (FMEA) and implementation of action plans.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering;
Minimum of 5 years of solid experience in industrial environments, preferably in the metalworking or capital goods sectors.
At least 5 years of experience in plate metal fabrication/boilermaking, machining, and mechanical assemblies;
Deep knowledge of ASME Section VIII (Div. 1);
Knowledge of qualified welding processes (WPS, PQR, WPQ) and material traceability in accordance with ASME standards;
Ability to interpret requirements for Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT);
Advanced proficiency with NX-Siemens and Lantek Expert (high-performance cutting and machining strategies);
Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD tools (Autodesk suite);
Experience with ERP systems (JDE), creating and maintaining production routings, work centers, and bills of materials (BOM);
Advanced Excel skills for generating productivity and performance indicators;
English (intercompany and supplier communication).
