About the role
- Senior Legal Expert advising all operational business units on energy and heat law in Germany. Involves complex legal evaluations, contract negotiations, and litigation support.
Responsibilities
- Review of legal issues arising from ongoing business
- Conducting and supporting analyses of the impact of existing and new laws on current or planned business activities of the business unit (BU)
- Support in contract negotiations and drafting contracts
- Support in litigation
- Selection of and cooperation with external law firms
Requirements
- Fully qualified lawyer (Second State Examination) with at least 5 years of professional experience
- Ideally with experience in the heat and energy industry or at a law firm advising that sector
- Knowledge, in particular, of heat and energy law, rights-of-way and pipeline law, as well as general civil and commercial law
- Interest in and understanding of business and technical interrelationships
- Business-fluent German and English, spoken and written
- Ability to quickly grasp complex issues and to think in a connected/holistic manner
- Independent and proactive working style with high quality standards
