About the role
- Join as a Senior Analyst in Corporate Finance & Strategy, focusing on strategic financial projects in a hybrid model. Collaborate with senior management to drive financial objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop various corporate financial models including the impact of potential acquisitions, strategic investments, profitability levels, and corporate structures on key financial metrics
- Coordinate strategic initiatives with key internal teams to improve the ROE of the company and present regular updates to Senior Management
- Develop consolidated presentations of operating results including analytic trends on growth and profitability in collaboration with regional teams for the CFO
- Support Senior Management for specific analysis on capital structure, valuation, and ROE analysis
- Work in collaboration with Corporate Development on acquisition scenarios
- Providing a broad range of analytical, research, and presentations for Senior Management and/or Board of Directors in collaboration with internal departments
Requirements
- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, actuarial science, or equivalent education/experience
- Minimum 3-years of experience in a similar role such as investment banking or financial/analytics
- P&C insurance industry experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Superior analytical and quantitative skills
- Understanding and use of insurance metrics in analysis and financial valuation models
- Highly effective written and oral communication abilities
- Bilingualism required for candidates located in Quebec
