About the role
- Category Manager, Procurement developing sourcing strategies for Intact’s innovation initiatives. Leading high complexity transactions and developing supplier partnerships for optimized performance.
Responsibilities
- Develop sourcing strategies for business initiatives and commodities that support Intact’s innovation strategies
- Leverage effective market intelligence and cost modelling to develop and support negotiation strategies
- Lead proposal (RFX) process for high complexity and high-risk transactions/agreements
- Develop and maintain partnership approach with suppliers
- Develop supplier key performance indicators and service level agreements that drive value and optimization
- Support the implementation of procurement continuous improvement projects
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of related experience in complex procurement projects and strategic sourcing
- Bachelor's degree in Business or any combination of equivalent education and experience
- Understanding of strategic sourcing principles and P2P processes along with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize strategies
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Strong skills in critical thinking, decision-making, problem solving, and attention to details
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
