About the role

Responsibilities
- Maintains global or regional responsibility for a strategic and/or high dollar commodity or group of commodities.
- Develops and implements a procurement strategy for the commodities they manage.
- Acts as primary interface with Celestica's suppliers for relationship management and negotiation issues.
- Leads negotiations for high impact commodities.
- Provides site direction and performance reporting for cost analysis to senior management.
- Assists in team development and planning, recruitment, and mentoring new employees.
Requirements
- Six to eight years relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities including industry pricing, technology, and supply/demand trends.
- Strong knowledge of negotiation practices/methodology for commodities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem-solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
