Analyst, Tax providing foundational support for tax compliance and accounting within Celestica’s Global Tax group. Working collaboratively to assist in tax operations supporting business growth and profitability across segments.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of schedules and data for corporate income tax returns and other basic tax-related compliance documents.
Prepare basic journal entries, perform ledger analysis, and help reconcile tax-related accounts.
Collect and organize financial data relevant for tax reporting and analysis.
Review system reports for basic tax accuracy.
Provide assistance in gathering documentation and information for both internal and external tax audits.
Work within established professional standards and practices following defined procedures for tax assignments.
Maintain accurate records for tax-related transactions and documents.
Identify basic problems or discrepancies in tax data or processes.
Work collaboratively within the tax team and cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance.
Participate in multi-functional work groups or project teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Preference for candidates working towards CPA designation
Up to 2 years of relevant experience in tax, accounting, or related finance role
Basic understanding of tax principles and accounting concepts
Proficiency with PC applications (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Ability to learn and use tax-specific software and ERP systems
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to consolidate and analyze financial data for tax purposes
Capacity to identify problems and contribute to their resolution within defined parameters
Ability to manage tasks efficiently and maintain accuracy under deadlines
Basic understanding of the global business environment and Celestica’s operations across segments like ATS, CCS, and HPS
