Responsibilities
Perform in-depth financial actuarial analyses related to group insurance and retirement plans (costs, projections, scenarios, risks)
Assess and recommend changes to existing plans with a view to optimization, competitiveness and financial sustainability
Contribute to the strategic management and governance of employee benefits and retirement plans
Monitor market trends in benefits, retirement, group insurance and working conditions
Ensure high-quality plan administration and regulatory compliance
Actively participate in integrating employee terms and conditions during acquisitions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on high-value projects
Support the development and enhancement of HR tools and technologies
Prepare and deliver presentations and communications to diverse audiences
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field: actuarial science, finance, mathematics, or equivalent
Associate or Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (CIA) or Society of Actuaries (SOA), or progressing toward qualification
Several years of relevant experience with employee benefit programs (e.g., group insurance, retirement plans, vacation policies, etc.)
Ability to translate complex analyses into clear, well-structured, actionable recommendations
Comfortable working in complex, multidisciplinary environments
Advanced Excel skills; SQL, R or Python are assets
Interest in analytics, automation, artificial intelligence and technology tools
Able to build trusted relationships and communicate with empathy
Advanced English language proficiency
