Responsibilities
As a Cloud & DevOps Engineer at HiQ, you will advance our cloud service portfolio with your extensive experience.
In this central role, you will lead the design and implementation of modern cloud solutions and ensure seamless integration and optimization in our client projects — from lift-and-shift migrations to the operation of global microservice landscapes.
Together with your team, you implement diverse client requirements in the cloud environment, always prioritizing efficiency and security.
Using your technical expertise, you support our sales team in the acquisition process for new projects.
As a leading expert in cloud technologies, you act as the technical point of contact for clients and ensure optimal project quality.
You evaluate improvement proposals and optimization potential for the applications you manage, including stability, security, efficiency, and degree of automation.
You share your experience and knowledge with both colleagues and clients.
Requirements
Degree in a STEM field or equivalent qualification
At least five years of experience in IT infrastructure and in designing and developing cloud-based solutions
Strong knowledge of current cloud technologies (CI/CD, containerization, orchestration, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Azure, AWS, GCP)
Relevant professional/expert cloud certifications are a plus
Excellent communication skills and enjoyment of collaborating with international clients
Team player mentality, self-responsibility, and solution-oriented thinking
Fluent German and English, both written and spoken (minimum C1 level)
