About the role
- SAP Inhouse MM/WM Consultant supporting SAP ECC solutions in Materials Management and Warehouse Management. Collaborating with users, coordinating integrations and improving existing processes and systems.
Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for the configuration, enhancement and maintenance of the SAP MM and WM modules in an ECC environment, including second-level support
- Collaborate with end users to evaluate change requests, perform feasibility analyses, clarify detailed requirements, create functional specifications and implement them in SAP configurations (standard or by preparing development specifications)
- Coordinate integration with other SAP modules (SD, FI/CO, PP) and with connected third-party systems (e.g., e-procurement, shuttle systems)
- Prepare and review functional specifications for ABAP developments, interfaces and reports
- Execute unit, integration and user acceptance tests (UAT) together with key users
- Conduct end-user training and produce documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and optimize existing processes and systems
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
- At least five years of practical experience as an SAP MM/WM consultant in an SAP ECC environment, including experience in second-level support and project work
- Experience in incident and change management
- Experience in preparing development specifications, coordinating with developers and performing functional and integration testing
- Willingness and ability to become familiar with a highly customized SAP system
- Basic ABAP debugging knowledge; the role does not include programming tasks
- Experience with cross-functional integration with SD, FI/CO and PP
- Experience with interfaces to third-party systems (EDI, eProcurement)
- Familiarity with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow
- Analytical and independent working style as well as experience dealing with stakeholders
- Experience working with offshore developers and external service providers
- SAP certification is desirable
- German language skills (at least C1) and English language skills (at least B2), both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel occasionally to the head office in Stuttgart
