Responsibilities
- Applies electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to components and systems, including assembly, analysis, and documentation of results
- construction of developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components

- Supports and participates in the design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems
- This position is specifically for the E83 innovations group which is pursuing robotics, remote video conferencing, artificial intelligence and the application of other advanced technologies for fleet support
- The candidate should have knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines and interest in developing / applying advanced technology solutions
- Strong communications and project management skills and interest / experience with the system security plan risk management framework process are desirable
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited program
- 0 years of relevant exempt experience
- Experience supporting major projects that includes interfacing with senior management, contractors, equipment suppliers, trades and engineering is highly desirable
- Experience with Navy / DoD programs is also highly desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with end-user support and troubleshooting
- Experience working with suppliers on product development and improvement
- Demonstrate basic project management and leadership skills (e.g., planning, organizing, monitoring, reporting, and leading meetings and briefings)
- Ability to work with multiple departments, suppliers, and customers to accomplish technical and project objectives
- Ability to apply engineering and critical thinking principles to develop problem statements and technical solutions to simple and moderately complex problems
