Loss Prevention Coordinator responsible for protecting assets and preventing loss in retail operations. Investigating theft and ensuring compliance with security measures in Edmonton, AB.
Responsibilities
Identifies, recommends, and implements systems to minimize loss of merchandise, money, or company assets.
Audits our current POS system (Point of Sales System) by store to identify issues.
Monitors inventory to identify issues at store level.
Investigates suspicious customer and/or employee activity remotely via CCTV camera.
Conducts periodic audits to confirm video surveillance systems are working properly.
Works with finance team to ensure cash is accounted for both in the back end and in the POS system.
Develops and implements policies and procedures to prevent theft at point of sale or inventory storage areas.
Conducts remote audits via CCTV for a variety of different investigations, prepares reports on the findings of the audit.
Researches, suggests, and implements additional security measures.
Assist with other duties as required.
Requirements
Business Management Certificate or Degree
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Alberta Security license
CannSell Cannabis License
Experience in a cannabis environment would be preferred.
1 – 3 years of experience in retail loss prevention, security, or law enforcement.
Strong communicator.
Customer service driven.
Knowledge of retail operations and loss prevention strategies and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge of the criminal code.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare reports and documentation.
