About the role
- Senior Director developing sustainability strategy for Arcwood Environmental. Aligning sustainability efforts with regulatory and ESG objectives while leading cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own the development and execution of Arcwood’s sustainability strategy
- Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, investor reporting expectations, customer commitments, and broader environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives
- Work across departments to align data, systems, and priorities
- Drive measurable progress toward sustainability goals
- Oversee systems to collect, validate, and manage sustainability and ESG data
- Prepare external sustainability disclosures
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to represent Arcwood’s sustainability priorities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, business or related field (required)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sustainability strategy, ESG or related leadership roles within environmental services, industrial services or similar sectors (required)
- Demonstrated experience developing and operationalizing sustainability strategies at a corporate or business unit level (required)
- Experience working with sustainability reporting platforms and frameworks e.g. CDP, GRI, SASB, TCFD (required)
- Experience working for an environmental services provider, waste management, utilities or sustainability consulting firm (preferred)
