About the role
- Senior Manager – Data Architect leading enterprise-level data architectures and cloud data platforms. Working in a hybrid consulting environment focused on AI-driven decision-making in Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of enterprise-level data architectures, integrating complex system landscapes (MDM, CRM, ERP, Cloud Data Warehouses)
- Architect and implement modern cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) using technologies such as Snowflake and Databricks
- Define scalable, high-performance solutions covering data modelling, data integration, transformation pipelines, and DevOps practices
- Design and oversee end-to-end data platform implementations, balancing performance, cost, scalability, and maintainability
- Guide engineering teams (onshore and offshore) and ensure high coding standards and architectural best practices
- Support clients in building AI-ready data foundations, including integration with GenAI platforms
- Contribute to business development activities and strengthen market positioning
- Mentor junior consultants and help grow internal expertise within AI & Data
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Data Architect in complex cloud-based ecosystems
- Previous hands-on background as a Data Engineer (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks)
- Proven experience leading architecture decisions and influencing both business and IT stakeholders
- Strong experience with: Conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling
- Dimensional modelling and Data Vault
- Lakehouse / Medallion / event-driven architectures
- Experience integrating ERP, CRM, operational systems, APIs, and AI platforms
- Ability to review engineering work (SQL, Python, Spark)
