About the role
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and payment processes in Rijswijk, Netherlands for a company improving crew safety. Support finance operations critical for reporting and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Process and book all accounting transactions in Exact Online with accuracy and consistency
- Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable end-to-end: vendor inquiries, customer follow-ups, and missing receipt tracking
- Post and allocate bank transactions daily
- Prepare weekly payment runs through internal approval processes
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities under the guidance of the Financial Controller
- Maintain company asset registers in Exact Online and supporting tools
- Document your workflows, so the entire team can use and build on them.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance operations
- Solid understanding of core accounting principles: purchase entries, bank reconciliations, supplier vs. customer flows
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and MS Office
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Be comfortable working with multiple financial operating systems Exact Online, and other
- Process-driven mindset: you follow calendars, steps, and deadlines without shortcuts
- Ownership of your tasks. You finish work the same day when possible, escalate when something is unclear, and document answers, so questions only get asked once
- Learning mindset and logical thinking.
