About the role

• DevOps Engineer managing AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines at Harver, an industry-leading hiring solution provider. Collaborating on automation and security across cloud services and application performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage production-grade Nomad/EKS clusters on AWS
• Write and optimize job specifications for services and batch jobs
• Own the state of our infrastructure using Terraform
• Implement and maintain Consul for service discovery and health checking
• Architect a zero-trust security model using Vault
• Manage core AWS services focusing on cost optimization and security
• Build and optimize deployment pipelines
• Integrate monitoring tools for cluster health and application performance
• Participate in on-call rotation and automate processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing infrastructure on AWS
• Solid understanding of Docker and OCI standards
• Experience running Nomad/Kubernetes in production
• Expert-level HCL writing skills
• Experience creating policies, configuring auth methods, and managing secret engines with Vault
• Understanding of gossip protocols, raft consensus, and service catalogs in Consul
• Experience using Packer for immutable machine images
• Strong understanding of Linux system administration, networking, and shell scripting
• Proficiency in at least one language, preferably Python
