Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support large-scale digital commerce applications
Set up, configure, and optimize Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters for high availability, performance, and security
Build and maintain secure, automated CI/CD pipelines using industry best practices to support microservices deployments
Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Google Cloud Deployment Manager
Define and enforce security controls, policies, and monitoring strategies to ensure a robust production environment
Develop observability frameworks including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Stackdriver, ELK)
Continuously optimize cost, performance, and scalability of cloud environments
Collaborate closely with architects, developers, and QA engineers to enable AI-augmented DevOps workflows and faster release cycles
Explore and integrate AI-powered tools for automated infrastructure management, anomaly detection, performance tuning, and CI/CD optimization
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, container orchestration, and DevOps tooling.
Requirements
7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure engineering roles
Expertise in managing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) resources (Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, IAM, Pub/Sub, etc.)
Strong experience with Kubernetes (GKE preferred) for container orchestration and microservices deployments
Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or Spinnaker
Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Pulumi, or similar tools
Strong skills in monitoring, logging, and observability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Google Cloud Operations Suite (Stackdriver), or ELK stack
Knowledge of container security best practices, including vulnerability scanning, secrets management, and RBAC
Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation tasks
Familiarity with service mesh (e.g., Istio) and API gateway patterns is a plus
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
