About the role
- DevOps Engineer operating and improving Kafka infrastructure on private cloud for Telia. Collaborating on advanced messaging solutions and driving DevSecOps practices with open-source platforms.
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve Kafka infrastructure on private cloud, incl. Kubernetes environments.
- Help drive Kafka self-service concept forward.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub actions.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) to ensure scalability.
- Contribute to DevSecOps practices: security automation, code scanning, and vulnerability remediation.
- Leverage observability through integrated monitoring, alerting, and logging tools.
- Liaison with internal Telia stakeholders to serve messaging needs.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support availability and incident response.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Linux environment
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform or other)
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms
- Hands-on experience building efficient CI/CD solutions (GitHub Actions/Atlassian Bamboo/Jenkins/etc.)
- Comprehensive understanding of monitoring and incident management solutions
- Excellent spoken and written English and Lithuanian language skills
- Experience in backend/API development (Java/Go/Node.js would be considered as an advantage)
- Any previous knowledge of Kafka or Artemis would be an advantage.
