About the role

• Backend Engineer responsible for developing robust PHP and Laravel backend solutions for E-Commerce systems with a focus on stability and maintainability. Work in a remote or Leipzig office environment with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Backend development & API reliability: Develop and maintain stable backend functionality using PHP/Laravel
• Interface architecture & integrations: Successfully implement third-party integrations
• Admin interfaces with Filament: Create intuitive, responsive admin user interfaces
• Code quality & performance: Continuously optimize the codebase for quality and performance
• Teamwork & contribution to innovation: Collaborate closely with the team and contribute new ideas

Requirements

• Solid proficiency in PHP & Laravel
• Experience building robust REST APIs
• Experience with Filament and building admin interfaces
• Clean data modeling
• Interfaces, webhooks & integrations
• Git & collaborative development workflows
• Testing with Pest
• AI-assisted development: Experience using tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude
• Nice to have: Experience with the Stripe API, integrating and working with the ERP system Weclapp, or experience with the Shopify Admin API
