Responsibilities
- Lead backend development using Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
- Build, maintain, and manage API integrations.
- Handle SQL-based data modeling and transformation, working with both structured and messy operational data.
- Deploy and manage applications across major cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Refactor and harden production systems to ensure maximum reliability.
- Support applied AI workflows and build out necessary automation tools.
- Create and improve system documentation alongside deployment processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering,
- or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
- Proven track record of taking loosely defined problems and driving them all the way to production.
- Experience working effectively in imperfect, real-world operational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong ownership and independent problem-solving skills.
- Strong experience with Python in a production environment.
- Extensive experience building and interacting with REST APIs.
- High proficiency in SQL and data manipulation utilizing Pandas or equivalent libraries.
- Solid grasp of cloud deployment basics across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to consistently write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
