About the role
- Joining London Market Insurance client as a consultant focusing on general ledger integrity and month-end close activities. Initial short-term contract until the end of February with potential for extension.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile migrated general ledger data to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Process cutover and backlog transactions within Workday
- Support month-end close activities, including bank and control account reconciliations
- Perform daily accounting activities, including manual Workday journals for bank and control accounts
- Support the resolution of reconciliation breaks and accounting queries
- Ensure adherence to accounting controls and reconciliation standards
- Support the Senior Manager – Insurance Accounting & Reporting with ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
- Experience in an Accounting, Finance Operations, or Insurance Finance role
- Strong hands-on experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Exposure to month-end close processes, including bank and control accounts
