Responsibilities
Responsible for safe day-to-day activities required to inspect the company's products and processes.
Perform routine and complex inspection and quality activities involved in the manufacture and development of products and processes.
Provide technical input in areas involving process inspection methods and acceptance criteria.
Collect data for SPC applications.
Learn and develop hands-on proficiency with composite inspection processes utilized by the company.
Follow written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings or sketches.
Participate in the operation of and compliance with all safety, hazardous material handling and disposal requirements.
Perform Process and product audits.
Prepare inspection reports, document observations such as non-conformances.
Communicate ideas, problems and suggestions to supervisory authority.
Maintain a clean work environment in compliance with all regulations.
Comply with Human Resources policies.
Fully comply with the Company 'Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government'.
Perform other assignments and tasks as directed.
Requirements
MUST BE U.S Citizen.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in hands-on operational quality inspection.
Working knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions.
Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
Must be able to perform visual inspection of product in a production environment.
Basic computer skills including Office, and specialized accounting and manufacturing software (SAP).
Ability to recognize discrepancies on materials or processes.
Willing to work as a team player as well as independently.
Subject to complete vision exam per requirements of National Aerospace Standards (NAS) 410.
U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements.
Preferred: BS degree in engineering or related discipline.
Preferred: DQR Certification.
Preferred: 5 years of hands-on quality inspection experience.
