About the role
- Delivery Manager overseeing software delivery and technical execution within GE Vernova's Services team in Africa or the Middle East. Responsible for project execution and customer management in energy management systems.
Responsibilities
- Deploying enterprise software.
- Working within a highly skilled team to manage and execute software deployment, software configuration, and operational testing.
- Identifying and quickly resolving software and related IT issues within a deployment project.
- Optimising the deployment process, working with the DevOps teams.
- Managing and coordinating effective software delivery.
- Performing and managing the deployment of interacting complex enterprise software and software dependencies.
- Building effective Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity tracking to update Project Manager on progress.
- Share responsibility with the Project Manager (PM), through close coordination, for scope management (change requests assessment), risk management, and problem management.
- Trigger and validate engineering Gate Reviews (Solution, Factory Testing Readiness, Site Acceptance Readiness).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with minimum 5 years of relevant experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Services – Software Commissioning.
- Knowledge of WAMS or adjacent systems like PMU/SCADA/EMS.
- Delivery/project management experience.
- Good communication skills in English.
