About the role
- Strategic Sourcing Leader managing sourcing activities and supplier negotiations for GE HealthCare's consumables business. Driving best contractual conditions and internal customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Managing and directing all sourcing activities as related to assigned suppliers and products
- Key interface between segment and suppliers to ensure business strategies and needs are represented.
- Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
- Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
- Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement.
- Manage claims.
- Commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc.
- This may also include purchasing activities.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements.
Requirements
- 5- 6+ years experience in direct sourcing
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- advanced experience in the Sourcing & Commodity Management
- Working experience with development and production of Medical Devices
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Sourcing, Supply Chain or technical field related to Sourcing is desirable.
- Working experience negotiating pricing and contracts with suppliers.
