Biomedical Engineering Technician responsible for evaluating and repairing complex biomedical equipment for GE HealthCare. Ensuring service excellence and customer satisfaction while maintaining technical standards and compliance.
Responsibilities
Responds to service calls to evaluate, diagnose, and perform repair and planned maintenance (PM) on complex customer's biomedical equipment
Drives customer satisfaction through Service Excellence
Lead others as needed regarding appropriate GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol, and complete necessary documentation
Establish and engage in proactive daily communications with customers, ensuring resolution and proper follow-up
Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues
Implement GE/customer facility contract and support customer and business goals/objectives
Lead, instruct, and assist technicians on basic and complex repairs/resolution
Share on-call responsibility
Ensure proper care of spares, tools, and test equipment
Manage vendor's service delivery processes in compliance with GE policies
Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment
Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Minimum 4 years of experience servicing medical equipment, or equivalent military education and experience
High School Diploma/GED and a minimum 6 years of experience servicing medical equipment
Proficiency in completing electronic documentation using technological tools (e.g., iPad, iPhone) and familiar with technological programs (e.g., Microsoft Office)
Experience developing and maintaining good customer relations at all levels (e.g., nurses, doctors, leadership)
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner
Ability to work independently and as a team to implement solutions through problem solving
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required
