Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing software tools for use by engineering teams to design, test, measure, and validate components, flows, and temperatures
  • Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations
  • Present to senior leaders in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy
  • Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done
  • Delivers products as part of a team

  • Leads analytical and design activities using proven technologies and vested approaches and methods
  • Works independently and contributes to the immediate team or other teams across businesses to implement end to end build and release procedures for a single release or multiple releases
  • Support the studies for integration of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) across design tools and enterprise software
  • Be very hands-on and part of engineering team's day-to-day developer activities
  • Architecture, design, proof-of-concepts and implement projects end to end with high quality
  • Ability to handle complex projects, large area of scope and complete ownership
  • Communicating with end users, technical teams and defining technical strategy
  • Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology
  • Lead development phase of Global Engineering applications and support implementation process of PTR Digital Thread Project
  • Provide technical support to local plants after completing development of technology specific rules and tools

Requirements

  • Advanced level of English both oral & written
  • Bachelor's degree from Computer Science or in STEM Majors
  • Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in software development including engineering tools development
  • Having coding experience with at least one of the following languages C#, Java or VB.Net with strong understanding of object-oriented design concepts and coding skills
  • Strong ability to understand and translate mechanical design calculations into Windows desktop or web-based applications (preferably using C#)
  • Experience in CAD automation (Autodesk Inventor or Creo preferred)
  • Awareness of mechanical design of internal and external components of Transformers and Shunt Reactors
  • Awareness of SAP / Windchill is a plus
  • Passion for developing code that fits SOLID principles
  • Having the knowledge about coding for scientific and engineering computation and numerical analysis as well as problem solving methods
  • Having the knowledge in 3D CAD parameterization as well as understanding the technical drawing is a plus
  • Knowledge about a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/JQuery to build the client-side or user-facing portion of a website
  • Knowledge in writing of unit testing and coding to make sure that individual units are working as expected
  • Knowledge of SQL coding experience
  • Being familiar with key Digital Security topics: Cyber Security, Data Protection, User Protection, Intellectual Property, etc.
  • Understanding of general concepts related to Cloud infrastructure
  • Ability to quickly assess and make recommendations (rapid problem solving) regarding issues
