About the role
- Performance Data Engineer providing data modeling and performance tuning for Federal agency's ETL processes. Leading cloud-based Data Lakehouse platform development and remote 24/7 support.
Responsibilities
- Provides data modeling expertise and performance-tuning guidance to optimize ETL workloads and database queries
- Lead the engineering of a scalable, cloud-based Data Lakehouse platform
- Application development and maintenance efforts that provide direct technical assistance.
- Provide remote support on a 24×7 on-call basis
Requirements
- 15+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Significant experience with the Teradata optimizer is required.
- Must have Teradata SQL, due to business logic embedded in the queries.
- Must have a thorough understanding of the internal “DBC Accounting” information to effectively measure the performance of application code.
