About the role
- Network Engineer at GDIT managing complex internal network designs. Providing technical assistance and securing network infrastructures while collaborating with IT teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining design and integrity of complex internal network
- Provide expert technical assistance for high-level system and networking requests
- Secure and manage network infrastructures
- Design, implement, and test complex infrastructure in support of customer needs
- Collaborate with IT disciplines to troubleshoot complex problems
- Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure
- Participate in 24x7 on call duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience
- In-depth understanding of networking (routing, switching, network monitoring and management)
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network connectivity and security
- Expert in SDN engagements built around Cisco ACI
- Experience with Cisco ACI design and multi data center configurations
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with VXLAN/EVPN
- Experience configuring/administrating various network technologies including Cisco ACI, Cisco DCNM, OTV, VMware NSX
