Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst with a banking focus, you will work on demanding projects for our clients in the banking and financial services sector
You understand business processes, regulatory requirements, and banking-specific interdependencies and translate these together with IT and project teams into implementable solutions
You act as the central interface between business units, IT, project management, and external partners, and advise our clients throughout the project lifecycle
Your responsibilities include:
Contributing subject-matter expertise in complex projects within the banking and financial services environment
Analyzing, structuring, and documenting banking-related requirements
Working closely with business departments
Creating functional specifications, process descriptions, use cases, and decision papers
Eliciting requirements and documenting them using User Stories
Assessing regulatory and business requirements (e.g., MaRisk, BAIT, BCBS, regulatory reporting)
Translating business requirements into IT-aligned specifications
Taking responsibility for subject areas or work packages within projects
Supporting testing and acceptance processes from a business perspective
Advising our clients on process optimization
Requirements
University degree or equivalent qualification in economics, banking, business informatics, or financial services
Min. 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, functional consultant, or advisor in the banking environment
Excellent banking domain knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Credit business (retail / corporate)
Payments
Securities and custody operations
Risk management or regulatory reporting
Experience in capturing and modeling business requirements
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and supervisory standards
Experience working with IT teams and project management
Ideally, knowledge of banking standard applications or SAP
Experience with traditional and/or agile project methodologies
Analytical, structured way of working and a strong quality focus
Strong communication skills and advisory competence
Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken.
