About the role
- Product Developer with FMCG experience creating and improving products for New Zealand’s leading grocery brand. Collaborating with teams to drive product development and ensure quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop customer driven product, using customer driven insights, trends and other available tools in decision making.
- Develop and pursue a deep understanding of assigned categories at market, product, and supplier level.
- Liaise with Product Business Owners, Quality and Technical, packaging and brand to ensure accurate product briefs.
- Co-ordinate market reviews, benchmarking, and evaluation of product submissions.
- Ensure accurate packaging briefs for packaging and design development; proof and sign-off of product label designs.
- Ensure all existing and new Own Brand products uphold Own Brand commitments around CSR and Ethical Sourcing.
Requirements
- FMCG product development experience
- Relevant New Zealand and/or International FMCG Supermarket retail or supplier experience in product development
- Fabulous communication skills
- Understanding of how a cooperative model works
- Comfortable in a highly engaged and collaborative team environment
- Solid background in a retail or manufacturing environment.
