About the role
- Senior Engineer developing user experiences with React and backend services for AI-powered banking solutions at FNBO. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers in a hybrid capacity.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance, responsive React components and interfaces for our internal GenAI platform
- Architect and implement backend services supporting our AI operations, leveraging serverless technologies and cloud-native approaches
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements
- Establish best practices and technical standards for our GenAI platform development
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership for complex features
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and maintainability
- Partner with Architecture to evolve technical designs and infrastructure
- Collaborate with our Agile delivery team in all Scrum ceremonies and processes
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in React ecosystem (React Hooks, Context API, state management solutions)
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
- Experience with AWS cloud services, particularly serverless technologies like Lambda and API Gateway
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Knowledge of software design patterns and architecture principles
- Experience with performance optimization and building highly resilient systems
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
- Nice to Have: Experience with Next.js, GraphQL, or similar modern web frameworks
- Familiarity with AWS Bedrock or other AI/ML services
- Understanding of banking or financial services domain
- Experience with real-time data processing or streaming architectures
