About the role
- Finanzbuchhalter overseeing cash flow and liquidity for a legal-tech startup in Leipzig. Collaborating with management and IT to optimize financial processes and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Daily monitoring of account balances, cash flows and payment transactions for all companies
- Optimal liquidity management
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts, analyses and reports
- Establishment of a modern reporting system including forecasts, KPI dashboards and variance analyses
- Use of up-to-date tools for automated preparation of key figures
- Contribution to automation of invoicing as well as accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting
- Close cooperation with Controlling, tax advisors, management and IT to optimise processes and digitalise accounting
Requirements
- Commercial vocational training (e.g., tax clerk) or further qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) / certified balance-sheet accountant or equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in financial accounting
- Knowledge of fiduciary/trust or client funds processes
- Very careful, structured and deadline-oriented working style
- High sense of responsibility
- Familiarity with invoicing through to debt collection and basic knowledge of tax and commercial law
- Ability to think in context, understand numbers and prepare them appropriately for purpose
- Negotiation-level and audience-appropriate communication skills in German (spoken and written)
