Lead the identification and management of credit risks, develop and validate quantitative models, and produce risk reporting for management and regulators.
Collaborate with stakeholders, support audits, conduct stress testing and contribute to group-wide risk management initiatives.
Responsibilities
Your primary responsibility is to independently identify and actively manage the risks of DTFSD.
Your focus will be on managing borrower/ counterparty credit risks and risk-bearing capacity, as well as reporting to the Executive Board, Supervisory Board and regulatory authorities.
You will continuously develop, optimize and refine processes and methodologies.
Maintenance, further development and validation of quantitative models for measuring and managing credit risks, impairment calculations and rating & scoring models for DTFSD’s portfolio.
Ongoing monitoring of risk-bearing capacity, deriving and continuously monitoring limits, and preparing recommendations for action.
Responsibility for cross-cutting methodological and organizational issues and their operational implementation for all material risk types.
Development and regular preparation of committee and ad-hoc reporting.
Further development of planning tools for producing borrower risk and impairment forecasts and reconciling and providing these for operational planning.
Responsibility for designing risk management processes and the subsequent maintenance and further development of core areas, e.g., quantification and management of risks within the risk-bearing capacity framework, preparation of the risk inventory and the risk strategy.
Conducting stress tests, simulations and analyses and timely response to ad-hoc requests.
Serve as the subject-matter contact for your areas of responsibility for all stakeholders and prepare for and support audits by internal and external reviewers.
Active participation in DTFSD and group-wide projects within the Risk Management area — and beyond.
Requirements
Degree in (business) mathematics or economics with a strong methodological/statistical component (e.g., quantitative methods focus), or comparable qualification.
Experience in risk management or risk controlling at a leasing company or a bank, with a focus on statistical modeling of credit and residual value risks.
Experience in modeling and validating rating models and scorecards.
Extensive knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (MaRisk, CRR, EBA) and accounting standards under German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS is an advantage.
Practical experience with statistical or mathematical software (e.g., SAS), programming skills (e.g., VBA), and confident use of MS Office and Power BI.
Excellent conceptual and analytical thinking skills as well as strategic mindset and actions.
Confident collaboration with stakeholders.
Good organizational skills, commitment and flexibility.
Business-fluent German and English.
