Lead Planner for Daimler Buses managing support for project and center steering product development. Collaborating across locations and providing financial and project guidance for engineering teams.
Responsibilities
As Lead Planner for Project & Center Steering Product Development, you act as the main contact for the internal customer and provide comprehensive support for a dedicated R&D area (E2 management level) or an Agile Release Train (ART) as 1st-level support.
Your role includes advising R&D project managers on their budget figures and account assignments for the allocated product projects and helping with transparent project governance.
You participate in target derivation and take independent responsibility for tracking these targets, as well as for analyzing and interpreting KPIs and preparing materials for top management as part of all planning and monthly closing activities (including accruals/deferrals in the year-end closing).
You support continuous method exchange and preparations for product development Quality Gates along the process and ensure efficient control of resource/cost deployment.
You will also take cross-functional responsibility for internal coordination with our partner areas domestically and internationally (e.g., MBT, DTAG, DTICI) and liaise with the finance departments of the Bus and Truck headquarters and the global product development organization; in particular, you act as the commercial key account within the team/department for TT.
You contribute to ensuring process quality and transparency and help further develop our process landscape, especially with regard to efficiency, throughput times and standardization in the development environment.
Requirements
Completed degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering and several years of professional experience in research & development or commercial functions within a large corporation or medium-sized company.
Experience with controlling methods or processes (e.g., profit & loss, forecasting and closing) is required. Experience in project management in an international environment and a particular interest in agile methods or SAFe is desirable.
Practical knowledge of SAP and very good skills in MS Office products (especially PowerPoint) are required to extract and visualize data for top management. Power BI skills are desirable.
Strong analytical, interdisciplinary and integrative thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as an outstanding ability to communicate complex issues in a target-group-oriented manner.
Very good English and German skills, both written and spoken, are required; Portuguese or Turkish is an advantage.
