About the role
- Setup Developer responsible for designing, developing and maintaining installation solutions for software products at Evident. Collaborate with teams to ensure user-friendly and secure application updates.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of installation and update packages
- Creation and maintenance of MSI, EXE or container-based installation solutions
- Automation of build and deployment processes
- Integration of setup processes into CI/CD pipelines
- Close cooperation with software development, QA and IT operations
- Ensuring compliance with security and compliance requirements
- Experience with code signing and certificate management
- Compliance with internal standards and external norms
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, software engineering or a comparable qualification
- Experience developing installation routines (e.g. InstallShield or similar)
- Knowledge of build systems (e.g. MSBuild)
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. C#, C++, PowerShell)
- In-depth knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git, SVN)
- Understanding of Windows system architectures
- Experience with quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001)
- Strong process-orientation and analytical skills
- Good English; communicative German
