About the role
- Associate Engineer (Civil) engaged in Transmission Line Engineering for Eversource Energy. Involves design and analysis of high voltage electric transmission lines and collaboration with various functional areas.
Responsibilities
- Work with complex systems and equipment while providing engineering and technical services.
- Active role in design and analysis of high voltage and extra high voltage electric transmission lines.
- Development and preparation of drawings, specifications, reports and estimates for transmission capital project work.
- Interaction with Transmission System Planning, Siting & Permitting, Project Management, Real Estate and other functional areas.
- Study involvement and may provide or support testimony with regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 0-3 years related experience is required.
- Engineering design experience preferred.
- Knowledge of utility power systems is preferred.
- Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
- Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
