About the role
- Analyst role supporting Transmission Capital Budget and performance improvement projects for Eversource. Collaborating with teams to analyze investment schedules and reporting metrics in Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate development of the Transmission Capital Budget and Long-Range Plan
- Support regulatory responses and a variety of performance improvement projects
- Work collaboratively with other team members and departments on routine work and special projects
- Understand investment schedules and in-service forecasts for active projects
- Collaborate with System Planning Engineers, Asset Management, and other departments to understand scope, schedule, and budgets for future projects, programs, and opportunities
- Facilitate the creation of company long-term forecasts
- Assist with the creation of key regulatory filings related to the capital program
- Facilitate design, build and maintenance of performance reporting processes
- Collect performance data and information from a variety of sources
- Review and assure data quality on a regular basis
- Develop new tools, dashboards, lists, and metrics as needed
- Prepare data, presentations, reports or information to assist business improvement initiatives
- Proactively learn about the company, industry, and particular business areas
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics, related discipline or equivalent experience
- Three (3) to five (5) years related experience
- Prior experience in data handling and business process/performance analysis is preferred
- Must have a valid motor vehicle license.
- Strong mathematics capabilities
- Ability to use standard business reporting software to build and modify reports and databases
- Must be able to identify and ensure data quality and accuracy
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Expert-level skills with Excel, Access, Tableau, Power BI & reporting tools or advanced skills with strong aptitude and willingness to become an expert.
