- Join Everest Insurance as a Claims Specialist II managing auto and general liability claims. Analyze coverage issues and develop claim strategies throughout the claims process.
Responsibilities
- Handle mainstream and moderately complex auto, general liability, and excess/umbrella liability claims
- Review and analyze complex coverage issues and prepare coverage position letters
- Investigate, analyze and evaluate liability and damages
- Manage and direct outside counsel
- Prepare case summary reports related to matters of significant reserve and trial activity
- Set timely and appropriate case reserves
- Develop and execute claim strategies as well as resolution strategies
- Negotiate and resolve cases
- Attend trials, mediations and settlement conferences
- Work with underwriters to support policy construction and drafting
- Report claim trends, data analysis, and risk assessments
- Communicate extensively with insureds, brokers, reinsurers, actuaries, and underwriters
- Attend client meetings and industry functions to support retention and development of client relationships and business
- Perform similar work-related duties as assigned

- Currently holds or readily can obtain all required adjuster licenses

- Ability and willingness to present to senior management
- Knowledge of the insurance industry, claims process and legal and regulatory environment
- 3-5 years of claims handling experience or legal experience
- B.A. or B.S. required; JD helpful but not required.
