About the role
- Managing Technical Consultant overseeing air quality compliance projects. Leading strategic initiatives and business development for ERM's services in the Midwest.
Responsibilities
- Drive strategic expansion of ERM’s air quality services and client base in the Midwest, focusing on pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and technology sectors.
- Identify new opportunities, craft winning proposals, and build lasting client partnerships.
- Oversee complex air permitting and compliance programs, including NSR, PSD, Title V, NESHAP MACT, EPCRA, and dispersion modeling.
- Guide junior staff, ensure quality deliverables, and work with ERM’s global air quality team to share best practices and deliver exceptional results.
- Support ERM’s global strategy by contributing to cutting-edge climate and air quality solutions.
Requirements
- BS/MS in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental), environmental science, or related field—or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of air quality/compliance consulting experience (7+ years preferred).
- Proven expertise in Title V, PSD, NSR, BACT, and MACT compliance.
- Strong business development skills with a track record of securing large contracts.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building abilities.
