About the role
- Interim Accountants providing financial support for a range of projects over 3 to 12 months. Tasks include bookkeeping, financial statements, and tax reporting in Austria and Germany.
Responsibilities
- As an interim accountant, you typically work on client projects for periods of 3 to 12 months.
- On-site visits and onboarding/training take place at client locations in Austria and Germany.
- Independently perform monthly bookkeeping for clients across various industries.
- Assist with monthly and annual financial statements.
- Preparation and submission of VAT pre-declarations and recapitulative EC sales lists (Zusammenfassende Meldungen), etc.
- Correspondence with authorities and tax offices.
Requirements
- Successfully completed accounting/bookkeeping certification
- Relevant professional experience
- IT-savvy
- Experience with common ERP systems (e.g., SAP R/3, SAP S/4HANA, BMD, Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), DATEV, RZL, Microsoft Dynamics AX (Axapta))
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel)
- Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, team-oriented, and a structured working style
- Excellent German skills, at least C1 level
- English skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel at least 50%
