About the role
- Controller overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting at Epoch Concepts LLC. Ensuring compliance with regulations and providing financial insights for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies while maintaining effective internal controls
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and variance analysis to support business planning and operational performance
- Monitor revenue recognition practices, distribution/vendor programs, and working capital to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency
- Identify and investigate financial anomalies, inefficiencies, and risks, providing actionable recommendations to leadership
- Manage audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies
- Support operational strategies through financial insight, performance metrics, and business modeling
- Mentor and supervise accounting staff, fostering professional development and operational excellence
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and reporting efficiency
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- BS/BA degree required; Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- MBA, CPA, CGMA, or prior public accounting experience strongly preferred
- Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
