About the role
- Senior Solution Architect for Envitia designing modern data-driven solutions. Leading architecture delivery and pre-sales efforts in Defence sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of modern solution architectures, translating business needs into effective, scalable solutions across a range of technologies and platforms.
- Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and clients to ensure successful implementation, providing clear direction, advice, and architectural guidance.
- Lead solution reviews, ensuring designs meet client, regulatory, and internal standards, and contribute to the development of architecture policies and best practices.
- Develop technical strategies and advisory artefacts, while conducting horizon scanning to identify emerging technologies and shape new service offerings.
- Produce cost models, risk assessments, and business cases, ensuring robust estimation across the full solution lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development of managed services and internal capabilities, while mentoring and supporting junior team members.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate)
- Demonstrable experience with major cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
- Proven track record leading large-scale transformation programmes
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong background working with Defence and/or Central Government clients.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DV level security clearance.
