About the role
- (Senior) Platform Engineer responsible for cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code. Collaborating on digital solutions for Engel & Völkers' global real estate services.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain our development platform and cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code
- Build and maintain tools and services to enable and accelerate our development teams and improve the maintainability and operability of our infrastructure
- Consult, assist and collaborate with developers to enable them to get the most out of cloud-native technologies
- Improve our observability strategy and processes to enable data-driven decision making
- Develop and implement CI/CD and automation best practices
Requirements
- Several years of experience in platform engineering or cloud computing as well as a deep understanding of networking and cloud deployment models
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (or similar), Kubernetes, Git, scripting and a solid understanding of monitoring solutions (e.g. Prometheus, Stackdriver, Datadog)
- Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt, Helm, etc.) and automation using CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to independently troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems
- Comfortable utilizing AI and automation tools to optimize workflows and increase productivity
