About the role
- Data Tester specializing in clinical trial data and automation testing. Collaborating with clinical teams on data validation and ensuring auditability, quality, and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Experience validating **ETL/ELT pipelines** and BI reports/dashboards.
- Should experience as a **Data Tester / Data QA** with strong hands-on data testing expertise.
- Working knowledge of **Python** for data testing and automation.
- Document traceability between testing, system requirements, and product requirements documentation in a timely manner.
- Responsible for testing through the entire lifecycle of a project, including test case development, execution and verification.
- Perform **data tester** to support operational data requests and user queries.
- Collaborate with clinical data teams to analyse **IRT/RTSM datasets**.
- Proven experience working with **clinical trial data** in regulated environments.
- Help manage CICD and automated code branching/deployment.
- Complete all testing deliverables at the end of the testing cycle.
- Demonstrate efficient and accurate completion of all responsibilities.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience as a **Data Tester / Data QA** with strong hands-on data testing expertise
- Proven experience working with **clinical trial data** in regulated environments
- Hands-on experience with **IRT/RTSM systems** and related datasets
- Strong expertise in **data validation, reconciliation, and end-to-end data testing**
- Ability to test data across the full project lifecycle, from requirements to production validation
- Advanced **SQL** skills for complex data analysis and validation
- Hands-on experience with **automation testing of data** using tools such as **RightData** or equivalent data testing/validation tools
- Experience ensuring **data quality, auditability, and traceability** for compliance purposes
- Familiarity with **clinical data standards** such as **CDISC, SDTM, and ADaM**
- Experience validating **ETL/ELT pipelines** and BI reports/dashboards
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, data engineering, and business teams
