Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer for Grid Connection and Protection Engineering (m/f/d), you are responsible for the complete grid connection work package — from technical feasibility through to commissioning.
You manage grid operator processes, coordinate testing and produce technical proofs and documentation.
You act as the central interface between project management, engineering and grid operators.
Preparation of grid connection applications and submission of technical data packages.
Management and response to technical queries from grid operators.
Planning and responsibility for compliance documentation according to VDE-AR-N 4105 and VDE-AR-N 4110.
Definition of single-line diagrams, protection concepts, CT specifications and remote control/telemetry systems.
Coordination of external partners for protection testing such as FAT and SAT.
Maintenance of schedules for grid milestones and management of dependencies and risks.
Consolidation of approvals, test reports and certificates up to commissioning.
Further development of standards, templates and grid connection processes.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable qualification, e.g. master craftsperson or technician
Several years of experience in grid connection of power plants, ideally battery storage or renewable energy
Solid knowledge of protection engineering, standards and grid operator processes
Confident in reading and producing single-line diagrams and technical specifications
Experience with certification and testing processes including FAT and SAT
Clear and professional communication with grid operators and authorities; German language skills at least C1.
