Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of inventory accounting, including analysis of system to 3PL variances
Perform inventory costing under US GAAP and related account reconciliations
Execute monthly financial and operational reporting surrounding inventory
Conduct inventory and cost analysis
Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers
Closely monitor the monthly cycle count process and system reconciliations with the Operations team
Research variances between book and physical inventory values
Prepare period-end entries, account reconciliations, and analyses
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items
Perform detailed variance analysis on assigned accounts
Assist in the monthly and annual financial statement closing process
Support period-end closings
Evaluate and develop accounting and operational policies and procedures
Perform transactional and financial research and analyze internal and external issues related to inventory
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or business-related field; Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or similar professional certification.
Minimum of 4 years’ audit or accounting-related experience (i.e. month end close, etc.), with a minimum of 2 years of Inventory experience.
Inventory accounting experience
Experience working for a publicly traded company in a corporate accounting role, ideally in beauty or consumer products.
Advanced knowledge in Excel and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent knowledge and application of US GAAP
Strong work ethic, integrity, and commitment to excellence
Big Four accounting firm experience is a plus
SAP S/4HANA experience is required
Experience in automation is a plus
