About the role
- SAP License and IT Application Manager supporting IT strategy implementation in agile teams. Managing SAP licenses and advising on SAP product utilization.
Responsibilities
- Manage the SAP license inventory, including ensuring proper measurement, license assignment, and coordinating license purchase activities
- Advise SAP-using IT teams/products, with a focus on selecting appropriate licensing, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
- Support the Service Manager in planning, managing, and allocating SAP maintenance fees to the responsible cost centers
- Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool, and automate workflows and reports to improve efficiency
- Advise internal customers on Software Asset Management and support license inventories and audits
- Analyze license usage and identify cost-saving and optimization opportunities across various IT applications
Requirements
- University degree or a two-year technical college qualification
- Practical experience with measurement using the SAP License Administration Workbench (LAW), SAP license metrics, and contract conditions
- Solid knowledge of Software Asset Management processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and enhancing SAM tools
- Ability to analyze license usage and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
- Analytical skills combined with a conscientious and results-oriented working style
- Collaborative team player who works respectfully and on equal footing
