Responsibilities
- Independently prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including accruals and compliance with timing requirements
- Assist in preparing annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Ensure proper accounting and account reconciliations
- Responsibility for and independent management of one or more operating sites
- Provide professional support to and act as deputy for the department management
- Contribute to the development and optimization of accounting processes
- Serve as a point of contact for auditors, tax advisors and internal departments
- Support on tax matters and filings
- Participate in special finance projects
Requirements
- Completed further training as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in accounting and willingness to assume a deputy role with responsibility
- Good knowledge of commercial law (HGB) and tax law
- Very good DATEV skills and an affinity for digital processes
- Structured, deadline-oriented and independent working style, with clear and professional communication — both with management and the team
- Team player with decisiveness in day-to-day operations
- Independent planning of recurring tasks and openness to process improvements and digitalization
- Experience in the hospitality industry is desirable
